The pay and benefits are high, and you can oftentimes believe you’re making a strong impact on the education field.
Cons
Zero psychological safety — frequent “layoffs” that are secretive, sudden, and seem retaliatory. Impossible to focus on doing your best work because some department is always getting re-organized. The people prized by upper management are sometimes incompetent and/or hostile managers that make work miserable.
