Pros

Interesting work and clients overall

Cons

Toxic, stressful environment with terrible leadership and management. Absolutely no systems to manage the enormous amount of work. Not worth your time. Will make any professional feel overwhelmed and crazy. Tendency to gaslight or change terms. They hire young on purpose, as they know they can pay less and treat worse. They thrive on burnout and then once ppl are burned out they pressure them to quit or leave instead of getting needed rest or time off. "Unlimited vacation" = no vacation. Low-level employees just out of college are expected to be 90%+ billable, even though they underbid their contracts making it impossible to bill your time accurately (all fixed-term contracts). If not hitting the 90% rate, it's considered your fault for not being billable enough, and you have to get more work on top of your full load in order to hit 90%. You can easily work 50-60 hours in a week and still not hit 90% billable, and the whole time you're treated like you're a worthless idiot.

Pros

Leadership. They listen to input, take it to heart, and address problems head-on and respectfully. Mission-Driven Clients. The work they do REALLY is making a difference in how we live and relate to one another. This focus is really why everyone is here. Self Aware. They know they aren't perfect but honestly assess what they can change and make that a priority. Reinvestment. The partners aren't out buying another house when times are good. They invest back into the business and their people. People. They believe in their people and truly care about them when they don't have to. Unlimited PTO. They really mean it. Someone went on paternity leave and was off for a couple of months. Not one email or text. Wow.

Cons

It's a small agency with growing pains. There's always going to be more demand than staff. The work they do is complex. The more senior people come across as intellectual and introverted. I think younger staff can misread this. I've heard that they are working on processes that would make working there easier. I'm a consultant so I don't have that experience but thought I would mention it.

Pros

Benefits are really good and cost nothing for employees. Types of clients include education-related groups and the kind that focus on community. Makes you feel good to do that work.

Cons

Personalities of partners difficult if you have to work with them. Not a lot of openings for career advancement.
