Pros
Excellent Opportunity to see how to NOT run a business.
Cons
Impulsive Leadership: The management style is highly reactive, leading to a stressful work environment. Leadership often makes sudden, impulsive decisions without considering the long-term consequences or strategic vision. Instability: A prime example of this instability was the abrupt opening and subsequent shutdown of the Dubai office. The company spent heavily to hire an international team, only to shut it down shortly after, leaving employees stranded. Preferential Treatment: There was a clear disconnect regarding local customs in international offices. Many non-US employees felt there was noticeable favoritism toward American staff, and promised compensation, such as bonuses for the Dubai team, was not honored. Obsession with LinkedIn: There is an uncomfortable internal push for employees to constantly like and share the company’s LinkedIn posts. It often feels like your internal standing or chances for promotion are tied to maintaining a fake public image on social media rather than your actual job performance. Lack of Infrastructure: Despite being founded in 2017, the company uses the "startup" label as an excuse for poor infrastructure. Crucially, there is no dedicated HR department to handle employee concerns or enforce standard workplace policies. Overpromised Expectations: The expectations set during the interview process do not align with the reality of working here.
