Pros

There is a strong people and culture foundation at Codurance. We try hard to prioritise and create an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work, and the leadership team is massively involved in this. All the software developers working here feel a strong cohesion around craftsmanship and the values that comes with it, and push this into their everyday working life. The people here are friendly, knowleadgable, we love working in teams and getting involved into different activities, opinions are always valued and taken into consideration. I feel I have contributed to making a positive difference since I started working here, which is not to be undermined.

Cons

Communication across teams can sometimes be a bit dispersive, even if I see things have improved. I think the nature of the consultancy can sometimes play a part on the sense of cohesion and company culture, as most of the people work on clients and they need to follow client's instructions/timings/deadlines and so on.

Pros

Great projects and an excellent team culture. Although we work remotely and across different projects, communication through Slack is constant and everyone is supportive and collaborative. There is a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions rather than quick fixes, which creates a very positive engineering environment.

Cons

The company offers well-defined career paths for consultants and leadership roles; however, there is no clear long-term career path for professionals who prefer to remain fully technical.

Pros

Interesting problems to solve. Not just about coding but building relationships and driving strategy. Constantly being inspired by smart, thoughtful and morality driven colleagues. Learning budget. Remote. Lots of opportunities for growth and despite being a distributed team (lots of clients, which is healthy) a good structure around performance and career management. Treated and respected as a human being first and a "resource" a distant second.

Cons

The remote nature makes it hard to stay connected with colleagues on other projects at times but that's as much on the teams as management to make efforts to improve. Client demands can often take a toll, nothing unique to Codurance and the support offered is genuine and welcomed.
