Pros

Technical Exposure: Occasional opportunities to work on interesting AWS-based projects. Office Location: Situated in a quieter, accessible part of Fortitude Valley, which provides a good local environment.

Cons

Payroll Volatility: Significant inconsistencies in pay cycles; staff are frequently requested to defer compensation due to internal cash flow issues. Regulatory Non-compliance: Superannuation obligations are frequently missed. Verbal commitments to rectify these arrears often remain unfulfilled. Leadership Culture: The prevailing management style is punitive. Leadership often utilizes verbal aggression and demeaning language as a substitute for constructive performance management. Uncompensated Labor: The business model relies heavily on a high volume of mandatory, unpaid overtime.

Pros

Over the past four years, I’ve had the opportunity to take on a variety of challenging roles and work across some genuinely interesting projects. The business has evolved significantly, transitioning from a product-focused company to a pure consultancy, which has created strong learning opportunities and accelerated professional growth. The calibre of people is a standout. You are surrounded by capable, driven individuals who push you to improve, which I’ve found highly motivating. The culture is also a key strength. It is genuinely values-led from the top, with founders who actively shape and reinforce this. The organisation is flat, communication is open, and everyone is encouraged to contribute regardless of tenure or role. There is a strong sense of respect and inclusion in how people interact.

Cons

The transition to a consultancy model has come with its challenges. The pace is fast, expectations are high, and the environment may not suit everyone. Some individuals may find the intensity and level of accountability demanding, particularly if they prefer more structure or a slower pace.
