Pros
You will get paid every two weeks, not necessarily fairly but you will get paid.
Cons
- Don't let the manipulatively glamorous job posting and website trick you. This is an MSP (Managed Service Provider) and nothing more; an IT services meat grinder where you are the meat that’s ground into cash for the owner. - Don't let the 5 star Glass Door reviews fool you, they are written by management. Compare the tone/verbiage in the 5 star Glass Door reviews with the tone/verbiage in the job posting and see for yourself. Be smart and use the lower star reviews to make your decision on whether you want to work here. - The clients are small businesses with outdated infrastructure who do not want to spend any money. Nothing glamorous about them, you will be treated as a computer janitor. - You will be required to drive your own car to far away clients and not be reimbursed per mile, only a flat rate for the year (if you make it that long) that doesn't cover gas, tolls, mileage, wear and tear, etc. - If you have a pulse and know what a USB port looks like you will be hired (even though the job posting makes it seem like this is some kind of elite IT task force HA HA), worked into a pulp making money for the owner and then eventually quit when you get burned out. The turnover rate is excessive, see for yourself how many ex-employees lasted more than a year. - You will be doing 90% desktop support and 10% light engineering work even though you get a fancy title. Expect to be crawling around under desks wearing slacks, replacing toner and working long hours fixing crappy computers that clients don’t want to pay to replace.
