Pros

Great, highly competitive bonus structure. Managers are well paid based on experience. Opportunity to change brands within tapestry family. Very competitive employee discount and special employee perks throughout the year. Introduction to luxury- Coach is a great bridge between more commercial retailers and luxury brands. Employee stock purchase program Flexible dress code depending on building (some have uniforms, some do not). Rollover PTO, volunteering time paid. Flexibility to do what’s right for the customer.

Cons

Limited room for growth once in a management role. Like every retailer you deal with politics, who likes who determines how much support you truly get to run your business. Competing directly with outlet- can be a hindrance to running your brick and mortar business as they continue to blur lines between retail and outlet from customer perspective. You’ll find yourself dealing with a lot of customer issues that do not pertain to your business specifically. Dated technology, ineffective systems add to your workload. Despite being mostly paperless, lots of excel docs, forms, busywork as management to complete that pulls you off the selling floor. Miscommunication between stores, customer service- policies need to be updated and uniform between brands/regions/channels.

Pros

- fast paced days with lots of client interaction and team building moments - fun product dropped monthly with opportunities to be the first to own popular drops - opportunities to grow* - a great starting place to learn how to provide an elevated shopping experience and learn how to build a client book

Cons

- * Opportunities to grow only present themselves if you have a positive relationship with the management team and/or the DM - Corporate tends to lead on candidates and promise advancements or change verbally but little is done to correct behavior or advance within the company - Your store manager will determine whether the team is harmonious and fair, can be a double edged sword - you will be asked to do tasks or take on projects outside of your position with no additional compensation. It will be heavily frowned upon to decline said opportunities and tended to lead to being denied advancements - during ICE activities in the city, Coach refused to make a statement and or provide guidelines to how we as a store should respond. Associates were punished for absences related back to ICE activities
