Pros
• Friendly co-workers who will help you learn and grow the best that you can. • Startup vibe, which can be nice in that they provide free snacks and a neat little office in a neat little city.
Cons
• Everything else. Clubpeed is simply poorly run. There's too many individuals in C-Suite roles twiddling their thumbs and spitting out corporate nonsense, while the company skimps on the people that develop and support their **software** products. The lack of focus on quality and underappreciation of their "first line of defense" employees is why this company is hemorrhaging customers and employees. Support engineers have to wear many hats and deal with ridiculous issues stemming from rushed development and the angry customers associated with those, yet they're criminally underpaid (especially for a company based out of Irvine, CA) and they're constantly denied the freedoms that other departments are allowed, like working from home on a regular basis. They tout vertical movement within the company as an upside, but if you dare to negotiate an almost fair salary or ask to not have to wait a ridiculous, never-ending probationary period to get a terrible wage for the new work you will be doing, expect to lose your job on the basis of "performance not meeting expectations".
