Clayworks is a family-run business, which unfortunately reflects in its lack of proper organizational structure. There's no clear hierarchy or defined job descriptions for individuals, leading to confusion and inefficiency. The management expects employees to micromanage, which stifles creativity and productivity.
A major concern is the inconsistency in salary payments. Salaries are often credited late, and there’s no established salary cycle, causing financial stress for employees.
Divya Vasant, the AVP of Operations and one of the founders' wives, exhibits unprofessional behavior that severely affects the work environment. She tends to take everything personally and lacks the skills necessary to manage a team effectively. Her approach is unethical, and she doesn’t even seem fit for a supervisory role, let alone one of AVP. She targets employees who do not obey her, putting them on Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) with the intent to push them out. Her constant cross-checking and trust issues create a toxic environment, and she shows little to no respect for her team members, regardless of their position. Additionally, she demonstrates a lack of basic respect for designations and is not equipped to handle client interactions professionally.
Moreover, the HR department lacks stability, further exacerbating the issues within the company. Overall, the management style and internal issues make it challenging for employees to perform and grow within the organization.
