Working as a college advisor gives you the opportunity to achieve personal goals while also helping your clients achieve their goals. The rewards from this job are endless. When student after student begins to receive acceptances and scholarship money because of their hard work a lot of high fives are given around the office. This is a job where you get do develop purposeful relationships and relieve some of the stress that preparing for college puts on families and students.
Cons
The most challenging part of the job is the schedule you have to keep in order to be available for students when they are free. This is typically nights and weekends during the school year.
