Pros
- Annual salary and full benefits, unlike most contracting companies that pay hourly rates - You get to work with their client(s) independently, no supervision or micromanagement - HR is responsive and easy to reach out to
Cons
- Working independently at client project sites gets you so detached from the employer that you almost never hear what's going on with your own company - Lack of attention to details from the payroll team - Poor problem resolutions to the mistakes that were committed by employer in the first place - No job security as other people have mentioned by other people. In my case. client site had budget cuts, so I was let go from the project. Company made 0 efforts to find me a new project and basically let me go, amidst pandemic. The budget cut also had nothing to do with my performance or contribution, as made clear by the client.
