The culture is quite exploitative and misogynistic, evidenced by a recent exodus of high-performing, mostly female employees (despite a 70/30 male/female split), which is ironic considering Clarity AI is an ESG company.
Be wary of the highly positive reviews: depending on your role, age or gender, you may not be exposed to some of the worst aspects of the culture.
- Poor work life balance within many teams, with low salaries, made worse by low to no annual salary increase. Your salary might seem competitive when you start, but after 1-2 years it falls well bellow market average.
- Senior leaders typically have high salaries, leading to high wage disparity.
- Lack of professionalism exhibited by many members of the leadership team, including aggressive behavior and inappropriate remarks.
- Misogynistic tendencies trickling down from senior leadership and the CEO, who proudly claims she “thinks like a man” to the entire company in the context of what she views as diversity and inclusion.
- Middle managers are not prepared or trained to be people managers, leaving employees feeling micromanaged while unsupported and frustrated.
- Culture of constant criticism without being constructive, never celebrating wins.
- Zero career growth or personal development.
I was reluctant to leave this review at first, but decided to share my experience since it diverges from many of the other reviews shared on this site, and I believe my experience reflects those of several others who have left the company within the past year.
