Pros

I joined Clara because the problem it's solving is going to be an important problem in the next few decades, the approach it's using (human in the loop) is wonderfully contrarian and makes a lot of sense, the team is high horse power, warm and no BS, the pedigree of founders, investors and connected well-wishers is very strong, and my function (operations) at Clara is working on bleeding edge stuff. Since joining, I've also come to appreciate how pragmatic, data-driven and scrappy we are and how much impact I have every day on the company, our customers and our awesome Clara Remote Assistants.

Cons

Clara is a small company and team today, and that means that the startup emotional rollercoaster is very much present, with cycles shorter than those at a larger company. You need to be mentally ready for that and want to enjoy the thrill.

Pros

Working remotely comes with many challenges. From finding a company to work with that pays and treats you well to the lack of reasonable pay. Clara affords the opportunity to be a part of a growing community and make a reasonable living while working from home. I've had the opportunity to be part of Clara's tremendous growth and continue to love what I do. The work is not for everyone and requires a great deal of attention to detail and ability to assess protocol quickly and accurately. It's perfect for someone who can't stand too much monotonous work. That said, Clara provides access to a community of experienced contractors, a knowledge base, and near real time help from support. The engineers have done an amazing job creating a platform that gives us every opportunity to succeed and create an amazing customer experience. Overall, I love working with Clara and hope to continue being part of their tremendous growth.

Cons

While the knowledge base is an ever-evolving, work in progress, it needs an overhaul. It can be confusing and hard to navigate. This is especially true for new contractors. The pay can vary depending on the complexity of each job. This can be frustrating when it feels you aren't being paid enough for how much time/effort was put in.
