Pros
The company is not very big, so can move faster. There are many areas in which one can gain experience. There is a variety of different jobs during the construction season. However, sometimes during the winter limited jobs might be available. The atmosphere is like what you feel in a family. This is because the company is not so big. On the other hand, small size company exposes to different jobs and if you show your commitment to the job more opportunities might be available. Employees enjoy having an extended health benefit and even the company registers the employees in fitness centers. The company provides cars for its personnel during the working season. Sometimes employees receive bonuses based on the job they are involved. I have never faced delayed in the payment, every payment is made on time. The manager and his assistants are available upon request. The manager cares about his employee so registers them in different courses to promote their skills.
Cons
However, like every family, there might be cases in which employees might want to do a job in a different way with which you do not agree for which someone may feel disappointed. The company does not have design jobs yet or any other job that continues for the whole year. There is no typical contract available yet. Sometimes projects are very far from Toronto.
