Pros

Communication, accesibility to resources, and growth environment. These lay root for upward mobility. Philanthropic work is great as someone who transitioned from social services to work in this field. Gym membership helps in winter when you can't get outside for vitamin D/get that endorphine release. Number of employees in office is under 20 so it feels like a team--does not have corperate feel in the traditional stress-inducing environment although workload can be heavy and fast paced--executive level execution is expected (not to say that is unreasonable as the necessary resources are available). Unique environment is really rare and allows you to grow into a role or assume the one you've worked hard to acheive. Hectic days are balanced with that center-ing office environment. CEOs wife is always bringing in snacks to keep us going and Front Desk Associate keeps us stocked with coffee. Cant't complain!

Cons

None. Any concerns have been minor and rectified, as a team. Sometimes work is fast and there is a lot going on--it could induce stress or you could look at it like: it makes you grow stronger and improve your skills daily (my take on it).

Pros

It's a great way to learn about the type of work that this company does. Even if you went to school for accounting and only look at numbers for the company. You have easy access to the other departments in the company. I can easily get up and walk a few feet to the rentals, maintenance, construction and acquisitions department if I ever have any questions. I can also ask them questions about the processes of their work if I'm ever curious. All of the employees are friendly and will gladly inform you on the process of their work to help you better understand everything. I've learned more useful things about accounting here than in school.

Cons

Since the departments are small, if someone decides to leave, you might get end up getting more work handed to you, but that can also be a pro if you think about it.
