Pros

Little to no commute Learn criminal justice terms Hands on experience working with court clerks, department of corrections, dept of probation, sheriffs office, etc. Learn what a good lawyer can get you out of!

Cons

There is no job performance recognition- it doesn't matter how little or much work you do, or how many mistakes you make- you get treated the same way. Upper management treats you like a number, they barely smile or say hi to you. The turn over rate in PRU is so high. There are no incentives to keep employees for a long time. Occasionally they will give "raises"- .10 cents = $3 a pay period, the Christmas bonus is $20 and is taxed, it's insulting and shows how much management thinks of their employees. The work space is like a morgue- no windows (executive offices have them all) no music playing, no talking amongst each other (executives scream across the floor to each other). We are like data entry robots and are just a number to get work produced. Friday's before holidays/long weekends we work until 5. Christmas Eve/New Years eve you work until 5 or you can use personal time/"make up the time". Work the day after thanksgiving. Require you to be there unless over 32" of snow falls - or you can use your own time. The executives will call your home on snow days and offer to pick you up and drive you to work when they are really desperate. They don't like you using your personal/vacation time- encourage you to come in early/stay late to make up the time you missed.

Pros

Great team members, love the remote working environment, and recognition for hard work is common. The company is doing very well managing through the tough economic environment even though difficult decisions are being made to adjust to the marketfluctuations.

Cons

Can be difficult to stay connected with remote work and some leaders are better at it than others. More consistent communications from the top would be ideal.

Pros

Remote work, good people, unlimited time off if you are able to use it.

Cons

Little recognition for people who put in long hours and want the company to succeed. 2% annual raises don't offset cost of living increases.
