Pros
Their office is within walking distance of many downtown Buffalo attractions, including the Unemployment Office.
Cons
There's a lot to say about Circuit Clinical, all of which is factual. Empirican Group LLC (d/b/a Circuit Clinical) began through START-UP NY, and has been in business for over three (3) years. Over that period of time, they've taken millions of dollars in both government and private investment capital, and have yet to produce anything of business value, let alone regional economic value. They claim to develop software for clinical trials, yet they employ no software developers. They've pivoted their core product an incomprehensible number of times, burning through exorbitant amounts of cash in the process (NYS residents: money, in part, taken directly or indirectly from your taxes), yet they still lack a discernible identity and, most importantly, a viable product. No one really knows what Circuit Clinical does, because Circuit Clinical isn't sure what Circuit Clinical does. Due to their lack of revenue and tenuous understanding of capital management, they're struggling financially. As such, they've faltered from their promise to "bring software development jobs to Buffalo", and have resorted to unethical, spur-of-the-moment, Draconian-style layoffs of core staff, which includes terminating several senior-level employees without notice, and cancelling their benefits (health, dental, etc.) the same day, in an effort to conserve money. Really great stuff.
