Pros
4 Day work week, you're done with your route when you are done (some weeks I only worked 35 hours) but wish my sales team would have grown my route - the salesmen will sell the customer anything and then the SSR is screwed to fix up the mess they made
Cons
Impossible to get time off, the GM had a little mans complex and either loved you or hated you - he fired a great Marketing Manager even though he was in the top third of the company for what he got fired for and got our Direct Sales up over projections - can't take vacation during holidays, if you get a small route you could only make 300 a week. Keep hiring outside managers who have never worked hard or run a route their entire life Bleed blue or go home!
