Pros
Learned so much in how to not only deal with difficult children who come from broken homes, but I learned how to deal with difficult people in general. Much freedom in how to set a system in place. You learn time management skills, how to multi-task well, and how to supervise employees.
Cons
You work multiple days for 24 hrs a day with sometimes up to 10-11 children. You learn a lot on your own. Not as much training as a couple would need in the day to day house routines. You have to come up with your own system. Every cottage is run differently which doesn't promote unity on the campus as a whole.
