Pros

When people say that a company is mission-based, I ask if they have heard of Choicelunch. It’s a very unique company culture built on the shoulders on some very smart, talented, and driven individuals who actually understand the value of working hard together. It is not to say that we always agreed on which direction to go or that the plans necessarily worked out as planned, but I generally found people to be open to trying out new ideas. It’s a place where leaving your pride at the door is simply preferred, whether it came to you naturally or not. Feeding busy families is a tougher business than one would expect. If you want food to be healthy, economic, and timely, you have to be truly creative but also honest, and willing to change with the times from the provider end. If more customers actually knew the lengths to which decisions were deliberated over and made, they would be speechless. The organization is not perfect, but it does strive for excellence with integrity. And that does mean something when you’re on a mission! It was a great place to work and grow both professionally and personally. I worked there for a few months shy of 5 years, and would recommend it without reserve.

Cons

There may have been times when there were probably too many ideas out there, but this company is all about putting everything out on the table so to speak. This may not be the place for everyone, but if it is, it's an ever awesome place to work and be!

Pros

*They genuinely care about their employees' personal well-being and professional growth *It's impossible not to feel as if you're a part of something extraordinary *You're free to carve your path to success if you're willing to put in the effort - the sky is the limit! *Game changer: flexible scheduling *I liken the company's culture to a hot cup of tea; a warm comfy place to call home, yet energized with a caffeinated zing that let's you know that your hard work isn't just wanted, it's needed for overall success. And at the end of the day it serves as a vital fuel that drives our work, day in and day out *The company's core values will tell you if you're in the right place or not. Not only do they live by them, but they hire and fire by them and in a small company it's an excellent way to separate the Cinderellas from the step sisters

Cons

*Not a con for me, but could be for others: Flexibility is a must. If you are used to things being black & white, cut & dry, or cookie-cutter, you're coming to the wrong place. *Again, not a con for me, but a fair warning: If you're coming for just another 9-5, this isn't the place. We work hard, play hard. We truly get up every morning knowing that we're coming to work to make a positive difference in as many lives as we possibly can.

I really appreciated the feedback and the advice on making decisions for the health of the business and our employees. One of my favorites parts of my job is creating opportunities for our people. Good call on our culture and core values too. We take it seriously, so if it doesn't resonate with prospective employees, that's not a commentary on any way about that person - it's just an indicator that they're not a fit for who we are. Thanks again for taking the time to give your perspective!
