Pros
Pay was competitive to others.
Cons
Many employees may perceive management as being extremely dishonest and intimidating. You may want to be concerned over the possibility that some nurses may not actually give out meds (even though they might document otherwise) and blood pressure and blood sugars might not be checked before giving meds. Check if your loved one was ever weighed and if your room is actually clean upon admission. Many residents and family members may have quietly complained of neglect or abuse to the handful of staff that actually care, but may be too afraid to go to management or call DHHS for fear of being treated even worse. They may OFTEN be critically short staffed but their public records may not reflect real staffing numbers. And consider why, despite competitive pay, they may be have good staff retention and several staff quit recently.
