Pros
The Actual staff are brilliant, and committed to the cause. Which is a brilliant one.
Cons
However the Management couldn’t manage a certain type of party in a brewery. In the time I spent there, 4 different CEO’s came and went, each with an individual set of problems. The Senior Management either went along each time or ignored it in the hope it went away. Or continued to get promoted and see hefty pay rises, while the more junior staff were threatened with pay and recruitment freezes or redundancy. Friends of senior managers were brought in to be “Consultants” on vastly over inflated salaries too. Recruitment practices are poor and show little due process, with friends of the charity being re recruited without any sort of proper application process. Staff welfare is at the bottom of the list in terms of organisational priorities. The average time someone spends at the charity is 2 years. One year thinking it will get better, and one year plotting a way out. If you’re considering applying. Don’t.
