Pros
Flexibility, remote work (for those outside of Houston, Houston staff must report to office 2 days a week). Provide opportunities for those who are junior in their careers to have a high-ranking title.
Cons
Children at Risk is more concerned with optics than research or any meaningful advocacy. Any productive projects are hindered by the ego and incompetence of the CEO. Constantly starting new, unfunded projects. High volume of outputs, with very little time made for quality control. Upper level management can be abusive and retaliatory. Questionable ethics, CEO should be removed by board. Projects often perform active harm, but management does not take into account feedback from partners and community. Dr. Bob has long track record of racism and misogyny. No HR or recourse for employees. Management knowingly doctors research.
