Pros

Health insurance if your single is good. Time off easily approved. Overtime if you want it.

Cons

A lot of gossip. Another review on glassdoor talks about cronyism, that's totally true. If the boss likes you, then you'll get promoted. Boss is volatile and can be mean to employees and goes way over the top. If you forget to ask a customer a pet name, it's as if the end of the world is about to happen and you'll be written up. Walks past employees and screams ask pet names ask pet names, just really weird. One day she can be nice and then other days nasty and manic. Don't be fooled by the smiley faces when you get your offer letter. Take this job if you are unemployed. Don't leave another job to work here. All my coworkers are either looking for another job or going back to school as a way out. Corporate side isn't any better, people fired every other day. Not a stable place to work. Be prepared to leave your dignity at the door. Managers talk about employees, not a good place to work. Lots of coworkers have quit when they have been spoken to or treated really badly. If you make a mistake and are not one of the clique, then God help you. If you make a mistake and the boss likes you then it's all good. You don't mean anything to Chewy and all employees know it.

Pros

I am an artist and I get to do an art-related job. The schedule is flexible when things pop up. I get health insurance and 401k and a lot of free food, and there is free gym access in the office building. The people I work with are all generally very cool, friendly, and/or fun to work with.

Cons

The pay rate is below the industry standard for production artists. I am not able to afford a place of my own. I live with my parents and I work another job to supplement my income. I am basically surviving and able to pay all my bills, but I would not be able to live a full life on my own with the pay rate as it is now. The work culture portrays itself as progressive and inclusive place but it is the typical corporate toxic environment.
