Desperation and disconnect between CEO and the worker bees of the organization. Everything is done to maintain a contract or re-compete - even if the work is outside the scope of the original contract. Understand that despite the “smoke and mirrors” this is contracting - you’re not a consultant. You’re expected to work. Not advise. Don’t ask questions. Keep your head down and do your job.
