The overwork culture at Cherry is extremely toxic and pervasive. On my first day, HR told all the new hires that Cherry doesn't operate on a Monday-Friday schedule and that working weekends/outside of regular working hours should be expected. Work/life balance is practically nonexistent and that's justified under one of Cherry's principles that every employee is "an owner". Most people at Cherry work well over 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays and those who work outside of regular working hours are consistently celebrated and shouted out in Slack. The feeling of burnout is tangible across the company. If you are someone who can overlook all of the above in the name of high pay and decent bonuses, you may be just fine, but don't let all of the 5 star reviews fool you. Cherry is a company where a small minority of people excel and enjoy the culture, it is not for most people who desire true work/life balance and want to maintain an identity and life outside of work.
