Pros
It taught me I could get through anything.
Cons
Similar to what’s been mentioned previously, the work is unnecessarily high pressured, monotonous, mostly cold calling and admin, the office is gross, the salary is awful, progression doesn’t exist, you’re expected to work through lunch and after contract hours. All of the above make for a bad placement but the behaviour of the MDs is what made it the worst year of my life. Every tiny mistake would be scrutinised, not so you could be corrected but so you could be bullied about it. Cherith and Peter take pleasure in being unkind to their employees, they even deliberately schedule meetings during lunch for no reason other than to make staff miserable. Being good at your job doesn’t mean you’ll be safe from them. They will separate you from your colleagues, pick apart everything you do, criticise you and find other things that are going on in the business that might be a totally different department and still find a way to blame you for anything going wrong with it.
