Pros
The one thing I don't think anyone who has worked at Checkster would disagree with, is that management truly embodies our mission statement of striving to achieve a workplace in which everyone has happy, safe, and passionate co-workers. Being that we are a small company (but growing rapidly), employees have the opportunity to explore different areas of interest in their roles.
I think management does an excellent job of encouraging and developing employees to focus on their strengths, and to be honest about their areas of weaknesses. This makes for a positive culture in which employees enjoy what they do, and have the opportunity to grow in their careers. For me personally, this is one of the reasons I've stayed at the company for as long as I have, because there has always been room to learn and grow.
In addition to this, employees truly care about their job and take pride in the work we do here at Checkster. It's not just a 9-5 job, that you stop thinking about as soon as 5pm rolls around. We have a team mentality and all want the person next to us to succeed. It's a great culture to be a part of!
Cons
As we've grown over the years, we have been met with normal challenges in regards to scaling the organization. That said, this year especially, it feels that we are making huge strides to move the organization forward, and it's very exciting to see and be a part of.
