Pros

They paid quite well Provided some good training (Agile, Scrum Master etc...)

Cons

Really bad management - No line manager, no performance management and there was no structure in place. You can sometimes be sitting on the "bench" for several months and they sometimes ask you to do admin work to fill your time which is very demotivating They are a pure IT PMO consulting firm, but in interviews they convinced people that they also do other type of projects You will not get a choice on what industry / type of project you prefer to do Some projects can be very exhausting, crazy hours depending on the Project Lead you get They make up some of your "In house profile" (Like a CV) to win work with clients and send you to a project that you have no skill nor interest to do. Setting you up for failure...

Thank you for your review, we are disappointed to hear about your experience in relation to your personal experience of working at Chaucer. Unlike other consultancies who will let people go when they have been on the bench longer than an arbitrary length of time without considering their capability and experience, we prefer to exhaust all options and only use that as a last resort, which also includes looking at projects that may not fit their ideal project but is still a great learning experience if they are open minded enough.

Pros

Company culture, especially in the US is great. Very smart and kind co-workers. Great pay and paid for health insurance.

Cons

The company is rapidly expanding by acquisition and assimilation into parent company, would be great to have greater transparency into upcoming M&A activities and reasonings.

Pros

Very, very smart people Most consultants very experienced in their field

Cons

They should pay their people more, to be on par with other larger firms who pay people at a similar level of expertise.
