Pros

Opportunity to get plenty of experience and network with many different Charter Schools

Cons

Culture is promoted as 'you have to be a special type of crazy to work here' Everyone brags about working endless hours especially in the summer Opportunities to move up are used as a motivator to get even more work out of you and then the opportunity never arrives

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are actively working to improve our Project Management and Service Delivery practices to help ensure workloads remain manageable, even during our busy seasons. In addition, as the company continues to grow, development and advancement opportunities become available to our teams. To help us stay competitive and aligned with industry standards, CTS conducts annual compensation research to compare our strategy to other similar companies. Combining this with growth and development opportunities is key for our employees to stay with CTS for a long time.

Pros

There are a lot of MSPs out there, but CTS definitely feels like a different place. Managers care about their teams, leadership is extremely transparent about the goals and progress of the larger org, and our clients are trying to make the world a better place. The workload is definitely not light, but it is manageable overall. I can tell that we're trying to innovate as a company and i'm hopeful we will be able to continue to grow and lead to more opportunities for us. Benefits are pretty good too (especially our cost for medical), and 401k match was added this year.

Cons

We've turned over a number of managers/leaders in the organization over the past 12 months which is challenging as change can be scary, but it was clear that all of the changes were made for the betterment of everyone that is here. The schools we work with can definitely be taxing because theyre pretty disorganized.

We will be transparent, for sure. There were some organizational changes in 2024 and 2025, and all to have a better, stronger team. We were able to confirm as the results of the year were shared. We are glad that people perceived the positive adjustment made to CTS, and we will keep growing and improving. Thank you for the feedback.

Pros

Most roles are fully remote or close to it Salaries are decent but not exceptional All of the technical staff are extremely talented and eager to share their knowledge.

Cons

They are currently hemorrhaging clients and laying employees off with zero notice. Management is pushing people to use terrible AI tools, in the hopes they can train those AI models so they can lay off even more people. All of the clients are impoverished schools using decades old infrastructure. You will get really good at fixing ancient equipment nobody uses any more, and fall behind on learning tech that is actually relevant. Employees were routinely promised bonuses and promotions then never given then. Awful and abusive managers

We’re sorry to hear that your experience with CTS did not reflect the culture and environment we strive to create. We wish you could’ve come to the management team to discuss more about the AI tools and our goals, as it is not to reduce our workforce but rather increase productivity so our team can focus on more complex tasks and projects. As our industry evolves, we continue to adopt new technologies and tools that help us better support our clients and strengthen our operations. Our focus remains on empowering our teams, improving efficiency, and creating growth opportunities… not replacing the people who make CTS successful. CTS also invested in new training tools for the upskilling of the technical team. It would have been great to have you benefiting from all this. One of the HR projects for 2026 is in Career Development (learning, sharing, mentoring) and we are continuously improving our Performance Review Process and its connection with Compensation Adjustments. Additionally, we are working to provide greater clarity around Career Paths so employees can better understand growth opportunities within the organization. Changing subjects to our clients, our client base is getting bigger, and we are also doing more projects for them. We are forecasting a 30% growth in 2026, compared to last year. CTS is also diversifying the client base by adding commercial customers to the list of companies we work with. We are especially proud of the work we do with schools and nonprofit organizations. Our mission is to help educators, staff, and students avoid disruptions caused by technology challenges and ensure our clients have the systems and support they need to thrive. The 2026 projects speak for themselves: faster Internet connection, new staff and student devices, smart classroom technologies, among other investments. Not only we are getting more clients, as we are growing our team. CTS has not conducted layoffs, but occasional staffing changes based on low performance, like any company. We remain optimistic about the future of CTS and the continued growth of our education, nonprofit, and commercial divisions. And to conclude, you are welcome to join us for coffee in 2031. :-)
