Pros
I first met two representatives at my college career fair. They were both very friendly and we talked for about 10-15 and I gave them my resume. I followed up with an email saying that I wanted to learn more about Charter Oak and got called in for an interview. I went into Farmington, CT Office to meet with the Managing Director and one other agent for about 30 minutes each. I was then called back a few days later saying I was meeting with another agent in the Hamden, CT branch. This interview was about 45 minutes. I was called back about a week later informing me that I got the Internship.
While working at Charter Oak I was treated with respect and kindness as an intern. The agents were very helpful and were always there to give me advice. I learned a lot while working with agents whether it was listening in on phone calls, or preparing documents for them. Overall great experience great staff.
Cons
A lot of reconciliation and compliance work. Seemed tedious and felt that I was overqualified for the work I was doing.
