Horrible Place to Work - Admissions Representative Charter College Employee Review

Pros

The pay rate is great but not worth the chastisement of management. The admissions representatives at the Vancouver campus pour their heart and souls into helping the students. Good work life balance.

Cons

Worst management of my entire life. No job security. Will fire anyone at random regardless of performance. My manager snooped in my office and found I was looking for other employment. She called me into her office and tried to get me to stay, but said that if I didn't, to give her plenty of notice to find someone to fill my spot. Today I e-mailed her my 3 WEEKS notice to be nice and professional. I deliberated for a couple weeks whether I should give notice because they're known to do things like this but I decided to take the high road. A couple hours later, said manager and the managers boss came into my office and terminated me on the spot. They hovered in my office and made me clean it out, they escorted me out of the office not allowing me to say goodbye to any of my coworkers. They were acting like I got fired rather than put a courtesy of 3 WEKS NOTICE in. I currently had the head of tech support investigating my manager because late one night I heard her saying a bunch of horrible things about me to the new VP of admissions through the thin walls. The next morning I came in and someone had logged into my computer! I doubt the investigation will continue now. As soon as I was removed from the building, I was alerted that they were in my office deleting my files. They didn't even allow me the time to email myself the resignation letter for proof to get unemployment. This is the worst place I've ever worked. I made the company $500,000 in the last 4 weeks yet they continue to treat everyone like garbage. The admissions reps care about the student but all the management cares about is a buck.
