The Founder and CEO is a talented, passionate, well respected, experienced leader who has worked with a diverse group of clients in a variety sizes and industries helping them grow their business through the "channel." For someone who has worked in the marketing industry for many years that is constantly changing and evolving, it was a great place to work to grow and develop my social media and demand generation marketing skills. The management team is a great group of people who are smart, hard working, fun, celebrate success and are passionate for their clients. I really enjoyed the team members I worked with and felt supported by everyone. Team members are always willing to help one another. I was willingly pushed out of my comfort zone to run trainings for clients and to speak at large technology events. I appreciated the opportunities to grow and develop in my career. Heather, the Founder and CEO really cares about you, her entire team, clients and delivering high quality work. She is patient and mentors you if you are open and want it. I had a lot to learn about running a successful partner programs and social media. I appreciated her transparency and support as I learned the space and clients. The company culture is flexible and fun with team gatherings with Jeopardy competitive games, company anniversary celebrations and employee milestone recognition. It was a great place to work and highly recommend it if you have the opportunity to join the team.

Having worked for a large marketing agency for over 8 years, consulting or agency work is not for everyone. It is the type of work that requires flexibility as your clients business needs change. This is more about the type of work not being for everyone, rather than a Channel Maven Consulting con.

Channel Maven is small business that works with large enterprises, which is great, because you get the best of both worlds. I appreciate that every employee is specifically selected to ensure fit, from a professional and personal stance. In fact the majority of the team participates in the interviewing process to ensure that new hires will be a good fit for the team. The biggest pro is that everyone really does care about each other and works together for the greater good. It really is like working with your family - meaning people you really like to be around all the time. At the heart of it, we have fun. The work itself is leading edge, interesting, and changes every day. Everyone has the opportunity to excel and achieve the next level. Environment is very flexible. Able to work from home, virtually, bring your pet(s), etc. Overall laid back, but innovative, and exciting, with a true focus on our niche services within the Channel, where we truly excel and have differentiated our company thanks to our expertise, and no-nonsense approach to everything we do.

Honestly, I don't have any. It is a great place to work. I love what I do, and who I do it with and feel lucky to be a part of such a great organization.
