Pros

Good flexibility of working hours, good product. Remote working is a good option, however lack of communication and team processes makes people feel isolated.

Cons

Very poor organisational culture and moral amongst staff in the region. I had an extremely difficult experience, including bullying and harassment by my manager, despite being a top performer and winning a global performance award in my first year with the company. The director in question who exhibited such poor behaviour was promoted to VP, so I don't see a great prospect for reform and improvement. Consistently awful ratings in employee and customer satisfaction surveys, however minimal evidence of either motivation or capability to address the issues. No pay raise in three years (not even CPI) and told that if I wanted a raise I'd have to leave the company. Poor network and IT support, disorganised and antiquated. Gender bias is also quite evident in this company. If you're female, don't expect to be considered for promotion or treated equally to male colleagues. Very disappointing in the work environment of today.

Pros

The one thing CHC has going for it is that they have a really good education department. They will pay to get you up to speed with modern technology and programming languages. From mobile development to full stack web development to data science. If you want to learn it and it's used with in the company (most of it is) then they will pay to get you educated.

Cons

The last few years here have seen a serious decline in culture. It used to be that employees had a sense of where the company was going. What the executives were planning and why. That is not the case anymore. It used to feel as if CHC wanted to disrupt the industry and bring about serious change and improvements. Now it's all about appearing as profitable as possible. Health benefits decrease every year. Yearly raises were postponed so the company would appear more profitable. There used to be events to and office meet and greets designed to give this very large company a small company feel; and it worked. It used to feel like the executives wanted every position to be a desirable position but that has faded away and over all moral is low. There are pockets of it here and there. There are still very good, very engaged mid-level managers who still seek to keep their employees to be engaged. Overall, I wouldn't recommend working here at this time.
