Pros

Good earning potential if you’re willing to work hard. Supportive coworkers, fast paced environment, and you learn a lot about communication and problem solving. Every day is different and management is usually willing to help if you ask questions.

Cons

Can definitely be stressful at times and the job isn’t easy emotionally since you speak with people going through financial hardship all day. Metrics and pressure can be high depending on the day.

Pros

-Genuinely supportive manager -Belief in the company’s mission to help people get out of debt -Some solid coworkers and team camaraderie

Cons

I wanted to like working at Century. I genuinely liked my manager as a person, and I believed in the mission of helping people get out of debt. But a change to the commission structure between one year and the next severely impacted my income. Despite stronger effort and more production, I ended up earning around $20,000 less than the previous year equaling a 29% pay cut. Ironically, I had to file for bankruptcy because I couldn’t even afford the monthly payment on the very program we offer to clients. The reality is, the pay no longer met the median cost of living in my area. I’m getting paid 46% under my state’s median income limit per my household size. That’s including my base pay and commission. Bottom line, I gave it my best, but the goals are unrealistic and the compensation simply isn’t sustainable. Would I recommend working here? Honestly, no. Like it or not doesn’t matter. I simply couldn’t afford to work here anymore.
