Pros

- Open PTO is great if you work for a manager that prioritizes it and actually wants you to have work life balance. Lucky for me, my manager does while I see other teams that don’t. - Benefits are pretty good and the cost to cover family is reasonable and open enrollment is easy to navigate. - We have some of the most amazing customers! What they do matters and our supporting them support cities, counties, colleges, towns and more across the US.

Cons

- Bonus structure is constantly changing and there is no visibility into it at this point. Organization changed to Spiff and some of us still can’t see how or why bonuses are calculated. - Favoritism runs rampant throughout the organization. 5% do 95% of the work and are paid the same or less than other employees. Those who don’t perform skate by because of their buddies in leadership while those doing the majority of the work are passed by for raises and promotions - Pay is far FAR below market, and it’s a running joke - Unrealistic sales goals are set higher than a “stretch” and if we didn’t meet them last year, why are you raising them again? Just because you want it higher doesn’t mean it is possible when poor performing employees, especially in sales, are allowed to continue with the status quo

Pros

The Proposals Team is amazing. The manager and director are supportive, knowledgeable, and fair. The team is hard-working, skilled, and friendly. I will miss them! If you are worried about the other reviews about CentralSquare, the Proposals Department has been insulated from cuts (except for a part-time position), and they try to balance the workload for job security.

Cons

It is a very large company, so there are some silos between departments.

Pros

The people that do the work actually want to provide a good product and fix customers problems.

Cons

Regular priority pivots, not fully implementing previous decisions leaving half baked processes adding overhead. Constant focus on new sales and stringing existing customers along with empty promises. Leading to shrinking headcount in the departments that do the work while sales teams grow and get larger bonuses. Following the increase use of AI and reduce headcount trend
