Left a good job for hopes of better and I get this. - Claims Central Insurance Employee Review

Pros

The pension plan and profit sharing are the pros.

Cons

Was hired under the understanding that I would be working from home 3 days a week. Tuesday was the “all in” day and you picked the second day when to come in. Get an email today saying we are moving to working in the office 3 days a week and Tuesdays and Wednesday are now mandatory days. I left a good job because throughout the entire hiring process I was told it was work from home 3 days a week and that just got stripped from me. This place is not upfront in the hiring process. The work load is so high that my stress levels are through the roof and I constantly feel like I’m drowning. The insurance premiums are outrageous, (around $1200 a month for the low deductible family plan.). Constantly regret coming to this company. Will begin to look at my options for leaving.

Pros

Competitive salary, employer-paid pension, generous paid-leave, transparency in management, leadership listens and has an employee-focused attitude.

Cons

Advancement can be difficult and there is no true path for individual contributors. One can only go so far if management is not in your future. While the company does hire remote employees, they will not consider them for leadership roles. There are no advancement opportunities for those employees.
