AS with any non profit organization, compensation is a bit less than a in another industry. However, the contribution made for the community and in the guests lives far surpasses the need for a higher salary.

There's a lot of competition and under minding with staff. The staff is like a high school clique. If they do not like you they would treat you different and try to get you fired. The staff poor working conditions. Bed bugs, rats, and caving in ceilings. No security besides the cop that comes in on second shift for a couple hours. Third shift is completely left to one staff. Collecting money from the public and not putting it to the residents or their transition. Also collecting money front the residents. Using food stamps for hot food. A lot of underhand illegal sandals.
