The executive function of the organization is provided by an Administrative Council, a team which provides strategic direction without micro-management. CHD provides a supportive and inclusive environment, has a low turnover rate, and provides excellent retirement contributions. CHD operates in a beautiful area with lots of outdoor recreation opportunities.

CHD’s structure and culture are not for everyone. For those who thrive in a traditional top-down structure, CHD can be challenging. Individuals who prefer clear hierarchy, closely directed supervision, and decision-making driven primarily by management may find this model less comfortable. However, for team members who value autonomy, shared leadership, collaboration, and accountability, CHD offers a uniquely rewarding and empowering workplace. The city and county are small. The nearest airport is nearly two hours away.
