Pros
Honestly?! There is not any good reason to work here in sales. Despite the day to day manipulation of getting a sale. (And by manipulation, I mean by lying to a customer that their phone is broken and there is nothing you can do, so the only option is to get another one.) There is also no one you can comfy in with any major issues. There was countless issues I have brought up to managers, regional managers, and even HR. I swear this is a response I got and I know I would never forget it. “I heard back and was I was told everyone was joking around, and it was just locker room talk.”
Cons
Go to a corporate Verizon store if you can. You have no vacation or sick days. This is a full commission job, so any hourly pay; you are essentially having to paying that back through your commissions. Even if you claim hours due to a meeting outside store hours or on your day off, and that is not separate from from any other hours you normally work. If this does not make sense then that should tell you a lot about this company already. Only take this job if you know it is going to be temporary. Don’t fall for this idea that you’re going to make a lot because you are also at fault for any mistakes, stolen items, or people committing fraud. Yes, you know when you are working alone when you have to pay for a phone, tablet, or accessories because no one has your back. Oh, and don’t expect promotions. There are title changes with absolutely no weight on them.
