Pros
Here are my reasons for staying as long as I have Flexible schedule Not micro managed Initial training is good Some very talented co -workers
Cons
1) All locations are overstaffed for the amount of floor traffic, many shifts you may only have one or two customers per rep per day. Thus possibly making zero for the shift. 2) 90 percent of floor traffic is for bill payments or technical support that you cannot charge for. Company preaches customer service, however the compensation is not based on it. 3) The highest payed reps are those that can sell around what the customer asks for and put them in a phone with the highest spiff. Daily customers return their high commission device having to pay a high re-stock fee to get the phone they originally wanted. Other customers just vow never to shop at Cellular Sales again. Thus the lack of foot traffic in the store. 4) Chargebacks are done at the company's discretion with little recourse. If inventory goes missing the reps are charged full retail cost. Over the course of a year it can be $1000 of dollars. Verizon can determine not to pay on a device you sell at their discretion so Cellular Sales will charge the rep the cost of the phone. Chargeback can be $300.00 or more. 5) On going training is haphazard at best. 6) Company is stuck in the cell phone business of 15 years ago. Online sales killing store sales. Accessories are 2 and 3 times or more the cost on the likes of Amazon. 7) Rules are more like suggestions.that are enforced randomly.
