Pros
It is downtown and fellow colleagues aren't that bad.
Cons
Working at this company felt less like a job and more like a cruel and unusual punishment. I understand that times are tough and people need work, but I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place if possible. The culture revolves around long hours, low pay, and management acting as though receiving a paycheck is some kind of privilege rather than fair compensation for hard work. Layoffs are constant, creating an atmosphere of fear and instability. Instead of encouraging collaboration or competent leadership, group leads seem to promote a culture of spying and internal politics so they can avoid actually managing people. Promotions rarely go to the most capable employees. Instead, the biggest brown-nosers and informants are rewarded, which explains why the company continues to struggle. I have honestly never seen such a bizarre collection of middle managers: ranging from completely absent and clueless, to overly aggressive incompetents trying far too hard, to neurotic rule-enforcers obsessed with control rather than results.
