Pros

Nice friendly staff. Relaxed environment on the whole (until the CEO loses his temper and has a temper tantrum in the middle of the office).

Cons

Senior Management never provide pay rises and if they do, its in increments of £2-3K, not 5-10K. Senior Management (mainly CEO) are only in it for themselves, they don't care about employee well being, although they claim otherwise. I witnessed one employee forced to work a 3 month notice period in a segregated room, whenever they entered the main office, the sales employees were encouraged to boo and hiss as this person traversed the office to use the bathrooms. Disgusting behaviour from a vengeful and spiteful management team. They do not like promoting or pay-rising and when they do, they clearly feel they own the employee's who aren't allowed to move on for their own career needs. The employee who I reference earlier was one of the longest standing and most well respected in the entire company - and they treated this person with disdain as soon as they resigned. Complete lack of career progression and unbelievably high turnover of staff with uncompetitive pay structures. I would recommend staying far away from this place if you're serious about a finance career or if you would like to advance in a career. When I left the company, the CEO verbally threatened to provide poor referencing for future jobs. Steer clear.

Pros

Great, friendly co-workers. Good central location, and often interesting work in global trade. The office really closes by 5:30, and there aren't really any late nights.

Cons

Poor compensation for the financial field, leading to high turnover. Upper management is unhelpful and often unreasonable.
