Pros

Clients are appreciative I enjoyed working with anyone not in management

Cons

Abusive management that gaslights staff into trying to believe that everyone else is the problem. Most of the staff are very green with no formal training other than being thrown in. If you’re someone that advocates for yourself or others, you’ll be viewed as a problem and pushed out. They claim they’re working on fixing the culture of the hospital by hiring a consultant but there’s no introspection for the owners to realize they are the main problem. Favoritism runs rampant, if you’re part of one of the bosses teams or family, you’ll get away with anything. The family is also verbally abusive to staff but nothing will ever be done about it. Everyone is constantly anxious on eggshells because you never know when you’re going to get berated. They have audio cameras also which they won’t tell you about, but watch the cameras to a creepy level and will eavesdrop on conversations to later use information against you. Despite cameras everywhere, they also constantly accuse staff of stealing supplies or services with baseless claims. They claim to be high-level patient care, but incredibly cheep with medical supplies to the point of forcing staff to reuse injectable bag claves for excessive periods of time despite it being used for many bags prior. Radiology safety is a joke and LVTs and VAs are seen as disposable. Lead doesn't fit the majority of staff correctly, they refuse to buy materials for hands-free radiographs and often refuse sedation for patients- making staff stand in the room exposure after exposure. CSRs are treated poorly, called names and threatened frequently. They thrive on a fear-based culture but will blame all prior leadership for any decisions made without taking accountability.

Pros

They make pet care more affordable for the community

Cons

Not sure where to start….. Toxic work environment: Both verbal and PHYSICAL abuse to employees. Constant gaslighting, bullying, triangulation and gossip Nepotism: Owners whole family works there which happen to be the biggest reason for the toxicity in the building. Brothers are held to different standards and the rest of the team is suppose to take on extra while they do less and less. Anyone who has a say that differs from theirs will be ostracized. Lack of follow through: Don’t fall for anything promised at hire. They will hire you for one thing and force you into a different position due to “hospital needs”, change your location with no compensation and promise you growth that never happens. Lack of communication: They will change your job duties and not communicate them to you. You will hear through the grapevine that your position has been changed. They will change your schedule without your knowledge then accuse you of no call/no show so they can try to fire you. Close minded: If you suggest something they do not like they will instantly start pushing you out. They have no interest in making any positive changes suggested by new people and scared of change even when it will help the hospital. No empathy: They do not care about you as a person. If it does not benefit them they do not care about you, your family or your life outside of work. Constantly make comments about employees personal lives, their mental health or their gender preferences. They will gossip and your personal issues when you confide in them. No work life balance: They over schedule and expect people to stay hours past their shift. If you do not live and breathe for them outside of work you are deemed a bad employee. Will deny PTO you have earned if they feel it did not benefit the company in some way. Scheduling flaws: As stated above they over schedule. Doctors are double/triple booked and also expected to cover urgent care and emergencies. They schedule surgeries that they easily need 3 technicians to run when there will be 2 in the building total. Benefits: They act like they have great benefits but they don’t. They will nickel and dime their own employees and you are better off going elsewhere to get care at a lower cost. Won’t let you use your earned PTO. Health insurance is very expensive.

Pros

The team worked really well together The medicine was continually updated

Cons

The upper management lead by fear and threatening staff. Walking on eggshells every day was normal, especially if the owner was in the building. If you try to speak up or offer advice, you were seen as the enemy.
