RWA/CCA colleagues feel bullied by management. I don't doubt management are passionate about helping cats, but seem to care more about ego at times, than staff welfare. Not a leader.
There have been many complaints from current/past colleagues over the years, but CP keep putting their heads in the cat litter, and paws over their ears. Senior management in any other organisation, when receiving so many complaints from one location, about the same issues, would have spoken to their team and had an intervention. The senior management/management structure may be too close for any meaningful change to occur.
The grievance process was not taken as seriously as it could have been. Not all evidence/witnesses were included as part of outcome, so it was unfair. The process was delayed and CP chose not to allow an appeal, therefore a final outcome remains un-concluded.
It feels like CCAs/RWAs are viewed like lightbulbs. So many good people have left, taking their knowledge, experience and skills with them. They are overworked, understaffed and the centre is run like a factory, when the work can't be completed like that, because cats and humans are living beings.
The morale is very low. How an environment can be created where so many colleagues, working in their dream jobs, feel like they don't want to, or can't come in to work, is quite an achievement.
