Well established within the state. Agency has a good reputation within the behavioral health field. Several different work environments ranging from outpatient services, detoxification unit, residential treatment, corrections, etc.
Cons
Minimal pay and not eager to pay higher salary for well qualified staff. Administration has several perks and continues to receive financial gains, while line staff are basically forced to retain secondary or tertiary employment for financial survival, even then the agency continues to expand, thus creating a demand for line staff to take on more responsibilities without more pay. Administration speaks of various perks, but fails to follow through with them.
Every day, I have to pretend I agree with their politics. I watch coworkers make fun of addicts who don't think like them. And I have to ignore what I know is right just to keep my job.
