Pros
Interaction with the animals, that is all!
Cons
The hours are long, there is very little to no support from management and barely any training is provided.
The owners of the business are lazy, rude and unapproachable, the working days can be 7am until 7pm with only one 30 minute break to eat, no additional breaks for toilet, hot drink etc. However none of this comes close to the supervisor they have in post... She tries to intimidate staff and speaks to them like absolute dirt. She claims to be a lover of animals but I myself witnessed on two separate occasions her treating two dogs as anything but. One small dog was pinned to the concrete ground by her face and screamed at as she was barking and snapped a little as she was trying to put her on a lead. Another dog came in and was very nervous of people. I saw and overheard the supervisor yanking her by her neck on her lead as she had pulled in the wrong direction and then screamed at her not to do that as she wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of her!
