Business outlook

Pros

Great, local Real Estate company. Wonderful training and culture. No desk fees, co-op of marketing fees, etc. They have a lot to offer both new and seasoned agents.

Cons

Too many requirements to attend weekly meetings, hold open houses, etc. Realtors are suppose to be their own bosses, but this organization tends to micro-manage agents a bit too much. Inflexible on commission/marketing fees charged to sellers - especially during the down economy. This cost a lot of agents business to other companies and appears greedy on the part of the company.

Carpenter Realtors Response

OK. We are a bit structured. We do encourage our agents to do what we have learned over the past 49 years buyers and sellers want them to do. We do work very hard to offer great training and informative meetings. That means there are lots of opportunities for our agents to learn; develop skills; be informed; be up-to-date in a rapidly changing business. Maybe too many. Maybe we offer too much. Maybe we just care too much. We'll work on that.
