Love this company - General Manager Caribou Employee Review

- Excellent team from the top down that are passionate about the mission of Caribou and helping caregivers! - Low ego environment; no task is too small for anyone and everyone is excited to help you out anyway that they can. Very supportive and empathetic team across the board - Incredible leadership team that is very transparent and open about their vision and progress being made - Amazing impact on end users that feels great; while it sometimes gets lost in the big picture, you are ultimately helping people find great jobs and helping people get recognized for the important work they do in their communities

- As with any early startup roles, responsibilities, and work are fluid and not strongly defined. This can be challenging if you are someone who craves structure and process - Lots of constant changes with product releases, customer needs, regulations, etc. It can be challenging to stay on top of everything at times - Work hours can be quite demanding during crunch times, and at times it feels they are growing so quickly that its hard to keep up with customer demand. The team is great though at finding ways to support and encourage everyone to take time where they can

-clear product market fit -mission driven, the product is making lives better and solving a real world problem that is heading into a crisis -people first culture, the leaders care about their employees and end users -Founders have a very strong product vision, they are so honest and empathetic with the team and I get the sense that they truly care, have strong morals and the hardest working people on the team -company is doing well and I can see a clear path to success -really strong team, humble, friendly, collaborative, hard working -overall good work life balance and time off policy but does have ebbs and flows that come with high growth companies

-remote first company, could be a pro for some but not me -first time founders, they are highly capable, openly listen to feedback from team/VC and first to admit they don't know something but the inexperience does cause some delays/hiccups when building processes and making decisions -stereotypical startup stuff like lots of ambiguity, process changes, teams of 1 with minimal to no backup, lack of proper people processes (although HR was hired earlier this year)
