Pros
Company culture is very supportive and collaborative. We succeed and fail as a team and every position is important. Despite having been established in our current business model for roughly 10 years, we still have a start up culture where we're all learning together. Our leadership team is very involved - or at least wants to be - and cares about employee input into decisions and project layout.
Cons
Open office can be distracting and unproductive at times, and can lead to distractions for some that have a hard time working with conversations and ambient noise in the background, although this is mitigated by a pair of noise-cancelling headphones for each employee. There can be a disconnect and lack of communication between the business side of the office and the virtual clinic. This is mostly due to the fact that because of HIPAA regulations the virtual clinic is separate from the rest of the office. But it can lead to frustration between clinic staff and business staff and neither world is completely understood by the other.
